Home for New Beginnings believes children deserve a loving, safe home when separated from their parents. Thus H4NB is working towards building a community home which helps these vulnerable kids establish long-term relationships with stable parental figures to prepare them for a successful life into adulthood.
Home for New Beginnings is hosting their 2nd Annual Auction & Dinner to bring awareness to the growing problem of homeless youth in the Verde Valley. To no fault of their own, children are being forced to live on the streets either with or without their parents. In the 2021 Annual MATFORCE report, there was a 47% increase in deaths between 2020-2021 within the ages of 31–40-year-old. How many of these individuals were parents? Where do these children go if they don't have family to take custody? The State then steps in and right now there are not enough foster care homes available. Therefore, these children are sent out of the County as far as Maricopa County or even Bagdad, AZ. It's terrible enough that these children already lost their family to drugs or incarceration, but to be taken away from their friends & school?!
Proceeds from this auction goes towards our efforts in building homes for these children here in the Verde Valley while also raising awareness.

No one knows how to cook anymore!! Food banks are becoming more prevelant in our communities with wonderful quality foods. The problem is no one knows how to cook it! With busy parents/grandparents/guardians, etc; & schools not making Home Economics a priority anymore, there's no one left to teach children the fundamentals of cooking & where their food comes from.
Based in Rimrock, this Fall we will be starting a Garden to Table program where children will learn the basics to building & sustaining a garden. With food provided from the garden & also from our Divine Pies kitchen, children will learn to prepare their own food. Expanding off of our Kitchen 101 class, children will also learn how to properly store food, manage a kitchen/business & can even have the opportunity to sell their food at local Farmer's Markets.
